Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT, created by Gary Craig, is a combination of scientific modern cognitive restructuring with the ancient wisdom of acupressure, a practice based on the same principles of acupuncture. Instead of needles, acupressure uses light pressure. By verbalizing negative thoughts, beliefs and feelings while simultaneously tapping on a sequence of key acupressure points, the negative energy of that thought, belief or emotion is released and deactivated. The importance and goal of this is that, if that thought arises again, it will not produce an emotional reaction. It is like disconnecting the electricity supply in a light switch. The switch may be there, but nothing happens if you push it.

Most people find a sense of deep freedom by achieving this. It has been successfully used for cravings, anxiety, anger, and other issues including pain. Remember that physical pain is just a message from our bodies to let us know that something needs attention. It does not have to mean suffering.
